Waterlox, a family owned and operated wood finishing company, came to us with over 100 years of rich history but no clear visual identity. They still make the world's premiere floor finish one batch at a time. By hand! They know what it takes to make wood beautiful so we set out to create a website that equaled their standards for quality and craftsmanship.
After rounds of competitive analysis and customer interviews I put together several mood boards representing the direction we intended to take the site. The finished product was a mix of handcrafted art, historic photography, some fancy code and even a custom built floor for the product photo shoot. While the website may not last for 100 years, we created a look for the brand that will endure for years to come.
